International hotel and real estate group buys Neues Schloss in Baden-Baden

New Castle in Baden-Baden, the former residence of the Margraves of Baden, changed ownership in 2003 when it was purchased from Prince Bernhard von Baden by the Al-Hassawi Group, an International hospitality and real estate development company headquartered in Kuwait.

The immediate concern of the Al-Hassawi Group was to protect the property from deterioration and over 18 million Euros were invested for maintenance works and to restore the overgrown Castle Gardens. In addition, the Kavalierbau – The Gentlemen's Building was completely refurbished and is now ready to serve as a modern day Business Center.

The Al-Hassawi Group is currently working closely with the International Design firm HOK in London to convert the Castle buildings and grounds into a 5 star hotel and spa. These changes will convert the beautiful Castle and Gardens into a destination for tourism, relaxation, celebrations and business events.
